2004 Tahoe LT 5.3 85,000 miles. I am losing coolant fairly quickly. Recently changed thermostat because it was overshooting to about 230 degrees before it would open and cool down. Mechanic did a pressure test and saw no problem. Oil appears uncontaminated. No fliud on garage floor at all.The 4.8 in the Tahoe is a good match perhaps not the best match depending on your needs or wants but it's a good match. As far as the aftermarket, the 4.8 can untilze anything bolt on that was intended for the 5.3 as they are the same engine with the only difference being diplacement. The only drawback is that it was extremely under powered. Traded it in on an 08 denali xl and without a doubt is the most comfortable/powerful road vehicle we have ever owned.Piaa xtreme white bulbs can be found on ebay for around $50, yellow is much more visible in poor weather and run $30 of the nokya 2500k bulbs off amazon.com. Any time you go with wider tires you need to bring the camber very close to zero. It does kind of sound like a camber issue too. Picture your stock tire sitting a 2* angle and now your much wider tire at the same angle. The stock tire is completely contacting the ground, but the wider tire is off the ground on the edge.

Replaced the turn signal relay (lighting control module) with the wrong one, then replaced the turn signal switch. Same problem remained, left turn preformed flawlessly. Right turn sometimes worked correctly, sometimes hazard flashing. I found the correct lighting control module, installed it and the problem went away.So I've been a longtime 2 door Tahoe lover and been looking for a 2wd for what seems like forever...with that said, I found and bought one today to add to my collection. It's probably the last thing I need is another vehicle, this makes my 7th (3 Chevy squarebody's, a wrangler, bronco ii, and a work car).
